The beginning of false
Not a straight line, but a series of calculated transitions from tech to sales to fashion. With a background in tech, Kanika Gusain, founder of False, has a journey defined by constant flux, driven by motion, adaptation, and instinct. What remained constant was her love for fashion, creativity, and attention to detail. In June 2025, she launched False, an evolving label built on a clear vision to create something bold, expressive, and globally relevant.
The intent
False exists to merge comfort with expression. Our intent is to create garments that carry both ease and identity, shaped by global influences and translated through thoughtful design, patterns, and embroidery. Each piece is built to feel natural, yet stand apart. Our designs bridge the gap between everyday comfort wear and premium fashion, creating pieces that move effortlessly across both worlds.
The code
False is built on a quiet code where comfort, identity, and precision coexist. We create garments that move between everyday ease and premium expression. Our process is detail-driven, with every element intentionally designed from custom trims to branded hardware. We follow a limited design approach no mass production, no repetition. Each piece is produced in small quantities, with no restocks or redesigns. This is the standard we build on, and this is what defines False.
